In June 19, 2023, a significant development took place in the field of oily sludge separation in Iraq. The oily sludge was collected from the oil storage tanks of Baiji Refineries, and a digital baffle batch extraction (DBBE) unit was utilized for recovering fuel from the waste sludge.
